My guess is that the raccoon are “grooming” the hogs for ticks or something like that. We have documented examples of this kind of mutualism from other species (fish are known to do this). The raccoon is probably feeding on the ticks, and the hog gets his parasites removed and a nice back scratching. Sign me up!
